Apple is a hugely successful company who specialise in personal computers, portable digital music players and mobile phones. Among the most popular was the iPhone, iPad, Mac, iPod, Apple TV, a vast array of consumer and professional software applications, the iOS and Mac OS X operating systems, iCloud, and a range of service and support offerings. On top of that, it sells and delivers digital content and applications through the iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore and Mac App Store.
Steve Jobs founded Apple in 1976 and the company is now based in Cupertino, California. It sells most its products worldwide, operating in five different segments: Americas, Europe, Japan, Asia-Pacific and Retail. The Americas include both North and South, the Europe includes European countries as well as the Middle East, and Asia Pacific includes Australia and Asia countries other than Japan. The majority of the products are sold in retail stores, online stores, and direct sales force, as well as through third party cellular network carriers, wholesalers, retailers and resellers.
As of the 24th September 2011, Apple had 357 stores (245 in the USA and 112 internationally). As well as selling to customers, it also has a large market consisting of small and mid-sized businesses (SMB), education, enterprise and government customers.Trade APPL
